The Dress Shirt

The Dress Shirt is the lightest of our three shirts, being cut from a 160-gram-per-square-meter pima cotton. Pima cotton is exceptional because the fibres are up to 50% longer than regular cotton, meaning fewer loose ends are exposed during spinning. This creates a smoother, silkier fabric that doesn't feel scratchy and is ideal for sensitive skin. 

It is loosely cut which gives it an elegant, floaty drape whilst being comfortable on its own or under a blazer. Like all of our shirts it features flat-felled seams, double-row stitching and mother of pearl buttons for longevity and graceful ageing. 

Whilst being best suited on its own or underneath an over-garment, The Dress Shirt can also be worn as a very light jacket over a cotton T-shirt on a warm summer's day. 

All of our shirts feature graded collar sizes meaning that you could wear a tie with The Dress Shirt and of our three shirts it is the most appropriate for a formal occasion. What that formal occasion is depends entirely upon the discretion of you, our valued customer. It may be a wedding in St. Moritz or a monster truck derby in Kentucky. You are a free agent and the choice is yours.

Washing Instructions: If on receiving your Classic Shirt you find it to be too big, you can shrink it moderately by washing at 60 degrees and letting it dry naturally. If you want to go nuclear, you can wash it at 60 and tumble dry. If, however, you like it as it is, simply wash it at 40 degrees and let it dry naturally and repeat ad infinitum.
