The Classic Shirt

I’ve spent years admiring my dad’s shirts. Some are over forty years old and I still wear them today. They might be slightly frayed at the cuff or have a splash of paint on the sleeve but they are more characterful than ever. They are made from pure cotton and they are a floaty, relaxed fit so you can wear them for splitting logs or lounging by the open fire later that evening.

The Classic Shirt is cut in a loose shape from pure-cotton twill, handmade in Gloucestershire, England with flat-felled seams, double-row stitching and mother of pearl buttons for a long and elegant life. Washing Instructions: If on receiving your Classic Shirt you find it to be too big, you can shrink it moderately by washing at 60 degrees and letting it dry naturally. If you want to go nuclear, you can wash it at 60 and tumble dry. If, however, you like it as it is, simply wash it at 40 degrees and let it dry naturally and repeat ad infinitum.
