I have spent years admiring my dad's shirts given to me as a teenager. They are floaty, meticulously constructed and decades old.
Our Classic Shirt takes details from these and centuries of English shirt-making, putting the best of them into one garment that we have spent five years finely tuning. Loose cut from a heavy pure-cotton twill, it is handmade in Gloucestershire, England with flat-felled seams, double-row stitching and mother of pearl buttons for a long and elegant life. It gives you room for movement and its natural fabrication allows your skin to breathe whilst ensuring a characterful patina after years of wear. One day your children might even be wearing your Classic Shirt.
LUDO LIFE: If you snag it, tear it or anything else, put your Classic Shirt through our complimentary LUDO LIFE service where the same seamstress who made your Classic Shirt will refurbish it and send it back to you in the field.
Washing Instructions: If on receiving your Classic Shirt you find it to be too big, you can shrink it moderately by washing at 60 degrees and letting it dry naturally. If you want to go nuclear, you can wash it at 60 and tumble dry. If, however, you like it as it is, simply wash it at 40 degrees and let it dry naturally and repeat ad infinitum.
